Shannon Spake

Shannon Spake (born July 23 in 1976) is the NASCAR correspondent and basketball and college football journalist for Fox Sports. Before being hired by Fox Sports, Spake worked at ESPN. She was a contributor to SportsCenter's before- and post-game news reports. As well as being the sideline reporter of ESPN basketball and college football matches, she also worked for the SEC. Spake also was a part of the newly created SEC Network, which is controlled by ESPN. Prior to joining ESPN, Spake worked at Speed Channel, where she co-hosted NASCAR Nation in its second version (June to November 2005) as well as a reporter on the show's first (February until June of 2005). Back Seat Drivers was also hosted by Spake and Marty Smith. She has held previous positions on the air on WCCB, Charlotte, North Carolina as well as Carolina Sports and Entertainment Television.
