McKayla Rose Maroney retired from athletic gymnastics, and went on to become a performer. She took home the gold and silver medals at the vault contests of both the American gymnastic team and the Fierce Five in the Summer Olympics in 2012. Her early life. McKayla Rose Maroney born December 9, 1995, in Aliso Viejo California. She is the daughter of Erin Maroney. McKayla is from Irish Catholic descent. She is the sister of Tarynn Kav. Maroney told us, "When I was younger, I would be watching Tarzan and running about on my fours. My mother would tell me, "I should put this child in gymnastics." Lauren Drain is a former member of the Westboro Baptist Church who wrote the 2013 book Banished, which chronicles her experience and ultimately, the expulsion from the church. Lauren has been with fitness model David Kagan (since August 2013) since their wedding. They have one daughter, named Aria Skye Kagan, born on December 29, 2019. Kagan briefly lived by herself in Topeka and was enthralled by the reminders of her exile from church and family. She ultimately decided to move to Connecticut. The Kagans' parents, sisters and brother also remained part of the church, but cut all ties with her.
